Jukar spain .45 cal percussion assembly3/14/2024 The lock has an unknown proof mark and is marked “860” on one side and an upside down 2 on the other. The lock plate appears to be European, perhaps a Wytheville British made lock. The barrel with cleaning rod swivel appears to be from a Cook and Brother carbine. Appears to be a cobbled together Confederate carbine. The bore is poor to fair, rusty with visible rifling. Approx.54 caliber black powder percussion carbine with a 22” half round, half octagon barrel. Please see the photos to get a better idea of the overall condition.Ģ49Unknown Maker Confederate Percussion Carbine Rear sight looks to be an original Musket sight, but a possible replacement, an extra rear sight is included. It has been lightly sanded and shows some minor marks from use as well. The matching plain walnut butt stock is in very good condition. It appears to have been sanded and shows some minor marks from use, no cracks. The plain walnut forearm is in good to very good condition. The brass butt plate has been polished with some small dings in the top and bottom tang. The brass frame has been lightly polished with dings and scratches. The barrel bands show a bronze tint as well. The original barrel markings are very legible with no sign of buffing. The blued metal finish on the barrel and magazine tube has a bronze tint with edge wear and underlying small dings. The bore is fair to good, clean with some light pitting in the grooves with strong rifling.
